Nike Schroeder thread work is so stunning, I love how they use thread to draw such detailed pictures.

Bren Ahearn, these are called The Joy Of Fighting, but I really like the suggestive nature of the really simple linear cross stitching.
Danny Mansmith, I love the stitched sculpture that his work has, the patch working is also just brilliant. I’m still staring at the details that the work has, marvellous.
Stacey Page, I really like the fun aspect to her work and the mask-like embroidery that she puts over the unsuspecting people in the photographs is just perfect. This one reminds me of a super villain.
Jen Stitch, I love anything with fairies and this little butterfly winged one is just so pretty.
Jess Larson, the captions that go along with the embroidery onto digitally printed silks are really pretty, the ice cream is my favourite.
Gillian Bates, she machine embroiders freehand onto canvas’ and stitches beautifully colourful and interesting scenes of around Brighton, I really liked the linear detailing on the pavilion in this one. She was recently featured in Embroidery Magazine, wonderful illustrative textile work, there has been a big trend in work done in this style and I really hope to see more.
Detroit Mummy, this is such a beautiful idea for a family portrait, doing this every year for your children’s lifetimes would be a brilliant ongoing project that you can share when they’re grown.
